Why do I write quotes?

Let's start with the obvious---I love quotes. But, my true purpose for writing and searching quotes runs much deeper that. The fact is that I enjoy helping people. I truly believe in the adage "do to others as they do on to you" OR "What goes around, comes around" OR even "No good deed goes unturned."

We live in a world that sometimes seems so overwhelming, where a good laugh and a real smile are rarely ever seen or heard. I think we need to do some deep soul searching about what's important in our lives and renew our spirit and our spiritual thinking, whether it's through faith-based religion or just through loving nature or helping your fellow man.

Teenagers don't know what love is. They have mixed-up ideas. They go for a drive and the boy runs out of gas and they smooch a little and the girl says she loves him. That isn't love. Love is when you are married twenty-five years, smooching in your living room and he runs out of gas and she says she still loves him. That's love.
